Our Story
Family-Owned Breeding Program
The Altussi story is rooted in passion for the Australian Shepherd breed.
Altussi was started in 2010 when Lynn Myall brought her first Australian Shepherd home, Lexi (Triforce Auraya) after owning Shelties. Her first litter was produced in 2014 by Lexi and Deisel (AKC-USCA-UKC-IT-ROM-UK Ch Bayshore's Triple Ex with Triforce), starting the Altussi line with Mika (Altussi Alchemists Secret) from that litter.
Lexi was a fantastic sports dog, enjoying agility and dabbled in conformation showing, although showing wasn't her passion. She has passed her intelligence and athleticism down her lines.

In 2021, I, Katie, brought my first Aussie home after admiring the breed since my early teens. Tala (Altussi Aryan Mist) from the Morrison x Mika litter (Multi Ch Van Morrison Del Whymper Delle Grandes Jorasses x Altussi Alchemists Secret), clearly showed that intelligence and athleticism from Lexi since the day she came home. She could learn tricks within minutes, we started puppy foundation agility and then when she was 18 months old, we started cani-cross. Tala started me off with showing and helped me fall in love with the sport. We learned everything together from the beginning, gaining us an unbreakable bond.

Lynn became my mentor and like a second mum to me. She helped me to learn about the breed and how best to groom them for shows.
This subsequently caused me to bring home my second Aussie, Lyric (Altussi All That Razzmatazz for Ghosteye) from the Simon x Blaise litter (BIS Multi Ch AKC GCh Bayshore's American Idol x Triforce Modesty Blaise with Altussi) in early 2023.

I then started to handle Captain (Altussi Rhythm and Blues) for Lynn. This lead us to taking him abroad to Brussels where he gained 1CAC.

In 2025, the kennel name was transferred into the hands of Katie, to continue the lines on after a lot of support from Lynn and other Altussi Aussie owners.

About Me
My passion for animals started at a young age, with our family being surrounded by them. From horses, to dogs, to guinea pigs.

Our first dog, Holly, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier started my love for purebred dogs. After I finished university, the first thing I wanted was a dog of my own to share my life with. Having admired Australian Shepherds since my early teens, I sought out to find a reputable breeder who fully health tested and registered their dogs. This led me to finding Lynn and being added onto her waitlist for a puppy.

In February 2021, I got the message that the Morrison x Mika litter had been born. When the pups were 6 weeks, I got to go and meet them. The moment I saw Tala, then Chess, through the open conservatory window (It was during Covid when we still weren't allowed in others homes), I knew she was the one, with a little help from her nanny Lexi, giving Tala a lick and running out of the conservatory to come and say hello to me.

When picking Tala up at 8 weeks old, Lynn suggested I try conformation showing, and I have never looked back. Tala and I have been on many adventures together, from camping and hiking, to doing Canicross across Lincolnshire, we truly built our bond in all we did together. We travelled across the country showing and loved every minute of this time together.

My handling skills in the ring were continuing to increase as well with me handling a multitude of breeds, from Dachshunds to Viszlas to Otterhounds to Beaucerons. I felt so much enjoyment handling and gaining bonds with an array of different dogs.

In 2022, Lynn made me aware of the exciting Simon (BIS Multi Ch Am GCh Bayshore American Idol) x Blaise (Triforce Modesty Blaise with Altussi) litter that she was planning on doing in the September of that year. This led me to bringing Lyric home in January 2023.

2024 was an exciting year. It started off with handling Captain (Altussi Rhythm and Blues) to a 2nd in Post-Graduate Dog at Crufts. I got the exciting opportunity to accompany Joy Middleton of Variare Chesapeake Bay Retrievers to Luxumbourg to Handle Jelli (Arnac Bay Jellicoe) where she gained Best Puppy in Breed on the Saturday and Best of Breed on the Sunday, gaining her Luxembourg Junior Championship. Then, accompany Lynn in Beroun, Czech Republic where I had the opportunity to handle Mr Happy (Ch.Magic Fireball´s Moments Of Happiness) for Václav HalíÅ™ of kennel Od Halířů. Then onto Brussels, Belgium, we went along with Captain (Altussi Rhythm and Blues) gaining 1 CAC.

My future in Altussi is very exciting with some amazing litters planned and with Tala soon hopefully starting in Heelwork to Music and Lyric to start agility.

At Crufts in 2025, I handled Harry (Altussi Incognito) to 2nd in Puppy Dog and Lyric (Altussi All That Razzmatazz) to 2nd in Postgraduate Bitch. Then further into the year, Captain gained BOB and Lyric RBOB at Horley and District Premier Open show. I had to opportunity to complete my first judging appointment for the breed in August. At Richmond Championship Show, Captain gained his first RCC, with me handling whilst 6 months pregnant.

Handling at shows slowed down from there with me becoming ever increasingly pregnant.

We are excited for 2026, with Crufts being our first show back of the season.
